Dr Patricia Ternes leads the Research Computing Team at the University of Leeds, supporting high-quality research through research software engineering and high-performance computing. She fosters collaboration between research colleagues, IT Services, and the broader university community to ensure that computational research is sustainable, impactful, and aligned with future needs.

Her role focuses on the long-term sustainability of Research IT and the organic growth of the Research Computing Team, enabling researchers to leverage advanced computational tools and methodologies. By maintaining close relationships with academics, Patricia ensures that research computing infrastructure evolves in response to real research needs, bridging the gap between technical capability and research impact.
