Joanna Leng

Joanna is an expert in High-Performance Computing (HPC), visualization (3D and 2D), validation of computational models by comparison to experimental or observational data, Virtual Reality (VR), image analysis, data science, science communication and accessibility.

Joanna has been working in computational science and research computing for 30 years. She has delivered national (tier 1), regional (tier 2) and local HPC services as well as local visualization services.
She has moved from faculty to centralized services several times and has contributed to many research projects in many disciplines.

She works closely with researchers on early innovation projects to co-design, co-develop and co-validate analytical research software. To do this she has expertise in both software engineering and research methods. She is an expert in Python, C/C++ and Java.
